Art Market in the Barn
Stokke Nedre Gjestegård by Mjøsa hosts an annual art market each June, and I’m incredibly grateful to be part of it. In 2025, I participated for the very first time, and the experience was both inspiring and unforgettable. The farm is beautifully situated by the water, and the event offers a complete experience with art exhibitions in the barn, a farm café, and scenic surroundings.
There is something truly special about exhibiting while also meeting the people who come to visit. Being present, talking with art lovers, and seeing firsthand how the paintings resonate with viewers creates moments I carry with me back to the studio. These encounters mean a great deal and inspire me as I continue creating new work.
It is also very rewarding to exhibit alongside other artists—to see what they create, exchange experiences, and connect. A new art market is planned for 2026, and I’m already looking forward to taking part again. Events like this are much more common abroad than in Norway, which makes it especially exciting to have such a market locally in the area where I live.
